Would you be willing to move the police station to 2008 and the city hall remodeling to 2010 if the fire station would be built this year? I know that we cannot do it all and I would be willing to support the fire station if we could postpone the constructions costs of the police station and city hall until later.
Please let me know what you think. Jim G

At this point none. Several workers at the court house agree that the building projects need to be put on hold. Jim G

I think somewhere in there you should include doing away with the muni court also. Your thoughts?

I can, but as long as you can veto the hiring of the Judge we do not have a muni court. I will mention it in a separate e-mail regarding the upcoming choices we need to make. Have you had any e-mails and calls from police or supporters? Jim G

9/1/05 Hi Jim;
You know how I feel - we need that fire station now, but we also need a police station as soon as possible! I would support your idea of taking a little more time if we pick and prep the police station site now.
We need to have a strategic plan in place to build the police station. I feel we would need to have some type of police building committe in place to oversee the whole project, to plan the financing, and to keep it moving forward, (something like they did in Janesville)
We need to approach this police project with great care, concern and most of all, a "sense of urgency". We need to view it as a positive plan of action with a vision and a plan of implementation.
Thanks, Jean

What are your feelings about the municipal court? This is really a duplication of services and how long before the state will start charging a municipal court fee similar to the circuit court fee?
Please let me know what you think, Thanks. Jim Graf

We also need to decide on the municipal court. This is really a duplication of services and how long before the State starts charging a municipal court fee as they charge a circuit court fee?
