Perez Ally Vicki Meyer

The lastest lie. Ms. Meyer, a strong supporter of "saving" the park, stated, "Several people asked for the construction of a bathroom, which Meyer said would cost $125,000 to $150,000 because it has to include heavy-duty equipment that can withstand vandalism." Sheboygan Press, May 27, 2005, "Sheridan Park boosters meet to plan improvements".
Now, when questioned by a constituent regarding Sheridan and the supposed improvments by an honest and concerned citizen, she stated the following: The park that has the most trouble with vandalism is End park. Don't believe what you hear on the radio.

Ms. Meyer stoops to racism in an e-mail response to a concerned constituent:  "We had around 300 people sign our petitions in the Sheridan Park area. I don't believe there are any gangs or drug dealers at the park. These are lies put out by people that want to destroy the park. And also I believe these people are racist. I have been to the park many times in the last year, I see families, young people, old people. I don't see many white people. The park reflects the people that live in the area. That is why they thought it would be easy to take that park. Racism plan and simple. " VIEW A COPY OF THE E-MAIL

Ald. Meyer lies again. -- At the Common Council meeting on July 3, 2006, Ald. Meyer stood up and told the council and the public that the police wanted N. 23rd Street as the new location for the police station. This is not true. At the Committee of the Whole meeting the previous week, and again on WHBL, Chief Kirk stated Van Der Vaart was preferred by the police as the site for a new police station.

Is Ald. Meyer lying to her constituents in her response regarding the abolishment of our police department? Her reply:
"I guess I would like to have all the information before I make a decision. I looked at this more as a merger. I don't have all the information yet because the committee has not even been formed. I have come to the conclusion that some people don't want to ever change, and when a new idea comes their way, they can't handle it. Until we have answers from the committee I think every one should relax instead of jumping to conclusions. This whole situation reminds me of the 'Chicken Little' story. Before we say NO, Lets see what its about first. Ald. Meyer"

And... "One of the first questions asked was can a city our size do this. I was told that act 40 was created for larger cities. Towns and villages always had this option. The way I understood this, we could have the same protection,The police officers would remain. I believe only the management level would be affected. That is the purpose of this committee, to get answers to all the questions. I don't think I would be doing my job if I didn't explore ways of saving the tax payers money. Thanks Ald. Meyer"

Someone told her Act 40 was for larger cities? Who?

To the contrary, the SCTA, working in collusion with Perez, have made it quite clear the goal is COMPLETE ABOLISHMENT. View the COST SAVING IDEAS, particularily number 17.

The Chief of Police had serious and reasonable concerns of the mayor appointing Ald. Vicki Meyer to the public protection and safety committee because of her previous drug arrest. He expressed these concerns; however, the Press and the Mayor skewed this story in an apparent attempt to discredit our police. The arrest is public record; no one had to be "influenced". Anyone can get this information at any time. Read the Press Article: Perez: Police chief tried to influence committee choice.

Ald. Meyer complains to WHBL owner; March 11, 2006; ID: shb18481458
A City of Sheboygan alderwoman has lodged a complaint with the parent company of WHBL radio regarding what she feels is overly negative content about Mayor Juan Perez and other city government officials on one of its local talk shows. Ald. Vicky Meyer said she called the Wausau corporate headquarters of Midwest Communications on Wednesday to criticize the program "WHBL Middays with Nick Reed.". "I am just disgusted, and I know a lot of people that are...

"We ask you to publicly explain to the residents of Sheboygan, why you would wish to deny others their 1st Amendment rights? Are you truly representing the voice of your district?" - District Citizen
