- April 18 2005 - Perez was sworn in at the Common Council's meeting.
- April 19 2005 - Perez makes committee appointments.
- April 20 2005 – Perez fires Anthony Bonnett for unknown reason.
- April 25 2005 – Police Chief Kirk open to different police station site.
- April 26 2005 – Perez accuses Police Chief Kirk of trying “to influence committee choice”
- April 26 2005 – City council axes Perez’s choice for a key position in a committee that oversees the police and fire departments.
- May 10 2005 – City council vote to rescind the prior vote on the location of police station.
- May 13 2005 – Perez appoints Susan Hart as the new Mayoral Assistant.
- May 17 2005 - Common Council kills ERGO Commission
- May 18 2005 – Perez accuses Bonnett of stealing the 4th of July Parade papers.
- May 25 2005 – Perez tells police to investigate the missing parade papers.
- July 7 2005 – Antony Bonnett, the fired mayor's assistant, files $50,000 claim against city and mayor.
- July 19 2005 – Perez forms the The Citizen’s Budget listening sessions to collect information from people on city programs and then use it to help put together the 2007 city budget.
- August 16 2005 – City dismisses the Sheboygan County Chamber of Commerce and its Convention and Visitors Bureau and decides to form its own Chamber of Commerce.
- October 16 2005 – Perez wants to build the new police station in 2007.
- November 17 2005 – Perez’s new TV show debuts.
- December 4 2005 – Alderman accused Perez of making a telephone threat.
- December 5 2005 – Jack Westphal’s 55 Question Citizen’s Survey was sent to every citizen in Sheboygan (so we were told). This survey was a poor attempt to gauge what Sheboygan citizens think and feel about their city. This survey was full of broad and poorly worded questions that most college educated people would find confusing.
- December 28 2005 -The SCTA calls for the Library Board members to step down over the Library Director Sharon Winkle contract controversy.
- January 25 2006 – Citizens of Sheboygan question the city of Sheboygan's hiring of the wife of an alderman for the newly created position of tourism coordinator at a rate of $18.51 an hour for a part time job.
- February 7 2006 – Police Chief Kirk accused of taking bribes to close down a city Street. Mayor stands by the accuser.
- February 23 2006 – Perez accused WHBL, the local radio station of making up lies about him and his actions. He called the radio stations programs ‘entertainment radio’. Mayor hints that radio is no place for city business to be conducted.
- March 7 2006 – Perez casts breaking tie to prevent Renee Suscha from being investigated by the council's Ethics Board because of the lie of accusing Police Chief Kirk of taking bribes.
- March 10 2006 - Perez signed a sworn complaint against former Ald. Anthony Bonnett . Perez said that he might have broken a law.
- March 11 2006 - Ald. Vicky Meyer filed a complaint to Midwest Communications over WHBL’s daytime talk show because they have been pointing out Perzes’ and other city officials’ shortcomings, broken promises, and shady behaviors.
- March 16 2006 – The DA of Sheboygan found that Perez had no ground to file a complaint against Bonnett.
- April 19 2006 – Perez appoints ‘friend’ to the finance committee.
- April 27 2006 – State clears the police chief Kirk over Ald. Renee Suscha defamatory remarks.
- April 27 2006 – Ald. Bauman resigns over lack of council appointment. Perez comes out and runs to local ‘entertainment radio’ to make a statement about a letter that was sent to him about Bauman from some Kohler Company employees.
- May 2 2006 – Perez will not apologize for publicly disclosing a private letter about Baumann.
- May 2 2006 - Ald. Renee Suscha asked for money from the city of Sheboygan to pay her big mouth, because she is scared that she is going to get sued over her false statements.
- May 3 2006 - Even the Sheboygan ‘Perez’ Press said that Perez handled Bauman’s resignation poorly.
- May 3 2006 – Perez calls for the abolishment of the police department and to have the city patrolled by the Sheboygan County Sheriff.
- May 16 2006 – Verhasselt was elected alderman by the city council. Another of the mayors friends.
- May 18 2006 – Talk of recall has been heard.
