Perez Ally Renee Suscha

Is Ms. Suscha lying? -- Susan Hundley states, in a police report, that Suscha told her after an August 15, 2005 council meeting that Perez promised Ald. Graf that if he voted in favor of the city handling tourism promotion that Yolanda Graf would be hired for one of the new positions. Suscha's response when this information became public knowledge: "I never heard anything like that in any way, shape or form". (Sheboygan Press quote, August 11, 2006, page A4). Susan Hundley has nothing to gain by lying; Renee Suscha does.

Monday, June 5, 2006:  Ald. Graf attempts to pass a resolution that consists of nothing more than a re-worded version of the decision made on May 15th by the council that would abolish our police department. Only two alderpersons voted FOR it -- Graf himself, and Ald. Suscha.

Suscha requests support from friends via e-mail when police issue occurred in February (see Press references below). Read the Email.

Ald. Suscha has:

  1. Suscha guilty of Misconduct in Public Office and promoted her own business while acting in her official capacity as a public official (Council meeting July 24, 2006; wore a T-shirt promoting her business).
  2. Attempted to stop the replacement police dog
  3. Falsely accused police officers of lying (see more below), and then proceeds to have her husband accuse the police of a "Code of Silence". You can view the details of this accusation: Minutes of Board of Fire and Police Commissioners -- this is a printable page and will open in a new window.
  4. Suscha also publically accused the Chief of Police of taking a bribe from a private citizen. She stated she had "evidence" and was going to turn it over to investigators. She never did turn anything over to them. The Chief requested an investigation by the justice department to clear his and his dept's names. The investigation came back with no basis in fact.
  5. Ald. Suscha tries to divert the scandal between her and Police Chief Kirk by the convenient slander of then Alderman Baumann. Read the letter from Mr. Baumann's attorney for further details:
Letter from Mr. Baumann's Attorney (Microsoft Word .rft format)
Letter from Mr. Baumann's Attorney (PDF format)
  6. Negatively commented on bikes the police needed
  7. Attempted to work with Matt Elliot to have him take over some of the duties done now by employess in conjunction with the police department
  8. Suscha did not want to allow NAD (Neighbors Against Drugs) to post "Drug Free Zone" signs in neighborhoods. Her reasoning was she was afraid the city would have to do "upkeep" on the signs.
  9. When Suscha was asked by the police if she would like to do a ride-along to better understand what their work entails, she said "No, I don't have to".

A Perez Response:  Many citizen's have made repeated inquries as to why Ald. Suscha is not brought before the ethics board for making a false report against our police. Perez's reply? "Your political biases are showing and I don't agree with you."

Suscha's request for legal funds deferred; May 2, 2006; ID: shb20613434
The Sheboygan Common Council tabled a request Monday by Ald. Renee Suscha to pay for her legal counsel after Police Chief David Kirk formally requested that the Sheboygan County District Attorney's Office investigate Suscha for alleged criminal defamation.

State clears police; chief wants DA to investigate; April 27, 2006; ID: shb20410318
Sheboygan Police Chief David Kirk said Wednesday he would ask the Sheboygan County District Attorney's Office to investigate whether Ald. Renee Suscha made defamatory remarks during a council meeting linking a businessman's donation for Taser stun guns to the police department's support of a north-side street closure. "All I want is to put this to bed," Kirk said.

Ald. Suscha isn't representing those who elected her; February 14, 2006; ID: shb17313752
Ald. Renee Suscha is an embarrassment to our Common Council. She has attacked the police chief, the fire chief, me and anyone else who disagrees with her agenda, which seems to be only to promote her own interests, not those of the city.. She shuts people down at the Public Safety and Protection meetings if she doesn't agree with them, while letting others go on and on.. She isn't representing anybody but herself and should be removed from this office...

Muth responds to Ald. Suscha's comments; February 9, 2006; ID: shb17112584
I must respond to the slanderous innuendos of "strange coincidences" made by Ald. Renee Suscha for the third time during Monday night's Common Council meeting. She inferred that the closing of North 21st Street that borders the west end of Muth Mirror Systems' property on North Avenue was linked to a gift of $5,000 made to the Sheboygan Police Department by my wife and me in December 2005.. Let me set Suscha and the record straight...

Alderwoman's comments draw fire; February 8, 2006; ID: shb17055903
Facing sharp criticism from the mayor and police chief, Ald. Renee Suscha backpedaled from a statement she made Monday that implied Sheboygan businessman Mike Muth donated $5,000 to the Sheboygan Police Department so they would recommend closing a street near his north-side business. But she stopped short of apologizing for the statements, made during the city's Common Council meeting Monday evening...

Council OKs casino advisory referendum; February 7, 2006; ID: shb17002100
The Sheboygan Common Council unanimously approved a resolution Monday night calling for an advisory referendum on casino and riverboat gambling in the city. The referendum, introduced by Ald. Renee Suscha, will be placed on the April 2006 ballot and will ask voters if the city should allow Native American casino or riverboat gambling facilities within the city limits.. In 1999, by a 26-7 vote, the County Board killed a proposal from the Lac du Flambeau Chippewa Tribe that would have docked a...
Note: This referendum was voted down by the majority. Who is this woman representing?
