The Wrath of Perez

If there is no source indicated, the following concerns are posted as submitted to this site. Many of these issues have been documented, some have not, yet each story has people behind it that stand by their statements. Alderman accuses mayor of threat But mayor says third-hand report about 'bloodbath' is nonsense: By Eric Litke, Sheboygan Press staff -- Read entire story in printable format (A new window will open)

Anthony Bonnett Issue. First of all, Mr. Bonnett was unjustly fired by Perez. Anthony Bonnett has been out of office a year, yet Perez sees fit to try to stick the DA on him. The DA came back stating there is no basis and no wrong-doing. Less than a month later, Perez says he's going to personally, due to pressure, submit the Jim Graf-vote for personal gain thing to the DA. He changes his mind and decides the DA is "too busy" to be bothered with small issues. Read the Press article, DA: No charges against Bonnett (A new window will open)

Henry Capetello suffered the wrath of Perez. Mr. Capetello runs a business having to do with the developmentally disabled. Details are not clear; however, after a heated debate with Perez, all of the sudden Mr. Capetello gets a very early visit from the building inspecters. His elevator was shut down. Mr. Capetello had the integrity to step down and away from the SCTA when he realized they were turning out to be a small group that were somehow swayed into collusion with Perez.

Mr. Capetello and the Humanitiarn of the Year award Ceremony in the words of one who was there:
Mr. Capetello was chosen and an Award Ceremony was held at the Rocca Room at Mead Public Library, with a reception following at my Inn. I let Mr. Capetello choose who to invite and he included Juan. When we were waiting at the Library to get into the Rocca Room, Juan walked over to me and said "I got this Award already". That was all he said - nothing like "Congratulations Henry..." So, when the doors opened and we all went into the Rocca Room there were only about 20 chairs set up. Since there were over 50 people there to honor Henry and another 15 in the group that gave the Award, they had to set up more chairs. When they were finished, the Lady who was the Group's President said "Sorry, for the wait while we set up all the extra chairs, but we have never had more than 5 extra people here to honor the Humanitarian of the Year before". Apparently Henry is much more liked in the Community than Juan ever was!!! Perez did not see fit to come back to my Inn for the reception, but the other 50 plus people did!!

Perez had Vicky Meyer call WHBL and try to have Nick Reed shut down.

Dennis Baumann: He complained about Perez's ill placed committee chairmanships directly to Perez. Suddenly there is a very negative letter sent to Perez from 30 Kohler Co. employee's about then Ald. Baumann. The strangest coincidence here is that Ald. Montemayor has a son who works at Kohler Company with former Ald. Baumann. Juan proceeds to let WHBL know he has a "damaging letter" and will release it if anyone asks. He did release it and it has now been made public. The letter amounts to nothing more than a foolish accusation with no proof of any wrong-doing on the part of Mr. Baumann. The Press has since refused to print the letter...

Many have strong suspicions that Perez had some hand in the Bonnie Cerda letter. Not directly of course... It is said that he dislikes Bonnie Cerda as she speaks her mind and doesn't allow him to "guide" her through votes.
